What an unforgettable week! The 2026 Ladies in Blue Clothing Closet welcomed more than 650 shoppers, and the enthusiasm, grace, and positivity everyone brought made the event truly special.

This experience was possible only because of the many individuals and organizations who came together with purpose and heart. Our sincere appreciation goes out to all our volunteers, especially the Beaverton Women’s Club, whose dedication, creativity, and steady hands shaped every part of the event. You helped create an inviting environment for everyone who stepped inside.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank‑you to the Beaverton Police Department for supporting Michel, DaNeshia, and me throughout the planning and implementation process. Your guidance and partnership strengthened this effort in meaningful ways, and we are grateful to have you alongside us.

Our community partners played an essential role as well. St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church generously provided the ideal venue for the Clothing Closet, giving us the space to serve our community with dignity and care. REI and Fred Meyer ensured our volunteers were well‑fed and energized, and their thoughtful contributions were truly appreciated.

To everyone who donated clothing throughout the year: thank you. Your generosity allowed us to offer a wide range of quality items…free of charge, to hundreds of individuals and families who needed them.

After reflecting carefully on this year’s event, we have made the decision to no longer accept children’s or infants’ clothing or household goods going forward. This decision was not made lightly. By narrowing our focus, we hope to better support the mission and needs of the community we serve.

And to our shoppers: thank you for your warmth, your good spirits, and your patience. Your excitement was contagious and added to the uplifting atmosphere throughout the event. Seeing you discover items that brought confidence and joy was a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

Together, we created something truly impactful, community supporting community, resources shared freely, and kindness flowing in every direction.
